Founded in service of oncology practices

A simple conversation about selling directly to physicians inspires Bill Stickler to found Oncology Supply, the first oncology distribution company in history. That year, we stock just 10 items. Bill begins building his relationships over the phone and in time, those connections grow across the whole country.

1980s

Growth factors and antiemetics are introduced


1996

Oncology Supply becomes part of Bergen Brunswig, which later becomes AmerisourceBergen, expanding our reach and support capabilities

1998

The exclusive distributor for ION Solutions

In 1998, Oncology Supply becomes the exclusive distributor for ION Solutions. ION provides oncology practices with creative GPO contracting, integrated dispensing solutions, and the expertise to improve clinical and operational management.

1999

Oncology Supply opens its 35,000-square-foot distribution center

2001

AmerisourceBergen is born, giving Oncology Supply even greater resources to support oncology practices


2007

A state-of-the-art distribution center

Oncology Supply opens an even larger, 70,000-square-foot distribution center. The NABP-accredited facility ships an average of 45,000 packages each month. The 3,200-square-foot cooler and 1,440-square-foot freezer keep products at optimum temperatures.

2008

Nucleus® inventory management

Recognizing a growing need among practices, Nucleus, our state-of-the-art inventory management tool, is designed from the ground up by experts working hand in hand with oncology practitioners.

Oncology Supply, like businesses all around the world, is hit by COVID-19. When the scale of the pandemic becomes clear, a massive operation swings into action across AmerisourceBergen to enable our office associates to work from home. Extra protections are put in place to ensure the safety of the essential workers supporting the healthcare supply chain in our distribution center. And new measures help meet surges in ordering caused by the increased need.
